where to buy kimchi? (cork city and surrounding)

i am aware you can buy kimchi from tesco. but its liek 4 euro for a rather small bottle.

is there some asian shop that sells bigger bottles of kimchi? looking for shops in the are from lets say ballincollig to midleton and anywhere inbetween.

I'd say make your own, as it's not that hard, and is way cheaper.

Jia Jia usually have a Korean kimchi in stock.

Still not cheap, though. Due to it being kinda expensive, Mrs Beer started making her own and has been doing so far several years, now.

Funny looking back on it now, still use the same recipe (although using lots more chillis), not sure what I was doing with the plastic bags, I now just squash it down with my fingers.

Couple of large mason jars full should cost you about €5 in ingredients so there's plenty of incentive to do it yourself.
