Best fish and chips in the city, special mention if there's a good smoked fish too

Any advice welcome. Tried quite a few places, got some good, some bad, some downright ugly. Open to suggestions. Not a fan of heavy batter that's still wet inside after cooking, you'd think that was a speciality in some places 😂

The new place down in Phoenix Yard is pretty nice and cooked fresh (They recommend ordering ahead)

Brennans and Doolys can be hit or miss

In my opinion, Brennan's is the most overrated chipper in town. The standard in town is not great to be honest

Be interesting what the quality of the Cleaboy will be like, now it's under new management.

Having tried nearly all the chippers around town, my favourite is probably The Marian.

O'Shea's in Dunmore East is worth the drive out.

Brennan’s has a good set up and was always spotless clean anytime ive been in there but totally agree with you its overrated,chippers in Waterford have really gone down hill in recent years we really need need something new to open up.

O’Sheas is the best in the county in my opinion well worth the spin out ,i tried east pier the weekend and I didn’t think much of it thought the chips were overcooked and the batter was all hard,And Chips in Dungarvan is nice too if you are down that way.
