Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 ETAP - New Frame needed

Hi,

I raced the Waller Cup in Bohermeen last weekend and was caught up in the A3 crash. The frame snapped at both seatstays and both chainstays, there's also 2 cracks on the seatstays. I know it's possible to repair but I don't want to go down that road. I'm within 3 years so have been in touch with Canyon regarding their crash replacement policy. I'm not too optimistic as the model is now out of date (2019 I think) and it's rim version

What other options should I consider? The groupset and wheels look like they escaped without any damage so ideally I'd like to swap them over to a new frame. Will I have compatability issues with any frames? I'll pop into LBS also and get their thoughts.

Ah Jaysus, I'm all for carbon repairs when it's a little crack or something but not if the frame is in pieces altogether!!! That's desperate bad luck man. If you were able to walk away from that then you're a lucky lad!

What size is it? Looks like an M. If Canyon don't play ball you could buy an entirely new second hand cf slx. They do crop up on donedeal and tend to be well priced. You could sell the bits off it and have your bike back together again for reasonable enough money.

Yeah, there's a good selection of aeroads and CF SLX's on donedeal, depending on what size you're after. There's a CF evo on there as well, it's a poxy build though, but if you could nab that frameset you'd have something even lighter than your old bike. I've one myself and it's fabulous.

Got a new frame and fork from Canyon under the crash replacement, feckin delighted with that. She's waiting in Canyon Ireland, will be sent once they receive my old one, in 2 pieces :). It's stripped and on its way so should be back in business next week. Impressive customer service 👍️
