Bord Gais gas boiler servicing vs Independent Contractor

Hey All I received post from Bord Gais to sign up for their annual gas boiler servicing. I'm wondering has anyone done this, and is it worth it or are independent verified contractors just as reliable

I suppose if they are registered that's the main thing. It's all the same.
Bord Gais can't service my particular boiler. Only 1 or 2 independent companies can. Last year I got charged €80 more because of this.

I get my gas boiler serviced by Bord Gais every year, and its usually the same guy who does it.
I also have their 365 boiler care plan, against breakdown (my boiler is old) so, all in all, I think its worth it for that as well.
