    Morning folks.

Looking for a headunit for her 2008 Prius, one that can connect (wirelessly) to her Samsung phone. Ideally someone in Cork that can fit it too.

    Any suggestions?

Mk2 Prius can take a standard double DIN size stereo under the original screen with a fascia adaptor, you end up with 2 screens, but you need the original screen anyway for climate/trip computer etc.

Do you have the JBL system with the cd changer and extra speakers, or just the standard one?

The JBL system has a separate amplifier under the drivers seat to drive the 9 speaker system, you can get a wiring interface to make it work though.

When you’re pricing this, just make sure you let them know you have this system and want the amp to still work.

    Thanks Col.

Bought a standalone unit, kinda like a GPS yoke. Will hook it up tomorrow and see what's what.

I put a standard head unit in my Prius like Colm mentioned. The wiring harness adapter for the JBL system ran me about €100 IIRC.

I also lost the power output readout on the screen. Found a YouTube video that shows how to get it back by adding a little capacitor to the wiring. I’ll see if I can dig it up if you need it.

Where are planning on mounting your one?
