What does the future hold for Donald Trump? - threadbans in OP

Part of me wouldn't mind him in the news for the reason of how much of a train-wreck he is. I can't imagine him behaving himself at all, and while some might see that as him electioneering in the hope that all this will go away upon re-election, I feel that this will just serve as a regular reminder to moderate voters that the drama he'll being to the courtroom would also be returned to the White House.

He is no longer the Trump of Apprentice fame, who might have been a billionare property kingpin in New York. He's the obnoxious wind-bag who embarressed an entire nation for 4 years straight, had a revolving door of roles in his White House (staffed also by his kids), and has enabled a ferel cult following who pepper anything that Trump says with an extra layer of stupid.

The next few years of court appearances will serve to remind everyone what we all know. Donald Trump is an abysmal excuse for an adult who can't be counted to run a laudramat let alone any large company or nation. I hope these cases bleed him of what little cash he really has. That would be a better punishment than prison I feel. No chance to be a martyr, just poverty until the end.

They didn't visit after they had to put him into this Medic-aid funded Senior Center. Now he spends his days...just staring at Fox News..hoping that they'll mention his name again..."

Oh no. He'll never step foot in a cell. We know that. We've been saying that since the start. Even if he's found guilty later of much more serious charges like election tampering and attempted insurrection, he would still not step foot in a cell. As mentioned, house arrest (Complete with ankle monitor) for 2 years, ban on media/social media and ban on writing books/profiting from his actions for a period of 10 years or something would be most likely.

And that would please his cult too: "See? we (We!!!) beat ya. He got away with it. No prison. Hah. Screw you, libs".

I do believe that his chances of winning election are going to be pretty minimal now though. Now that doesn't mean he won't run again. Or try to steal the election AGAIN. Or tell his hate groups "We love you. Stand down and stand by" AGAIN. But I do think it's over for him. And the sooner the GOP rid themselves of him and his GQP crew the better.

We've all said that the GOP should have taken the opportunity in the week after Jan 6 insurrection attempt to throw trump and his croneys under the bus. They would have had a nice clean run of it since then to now to distance themselves from him. And even root out more of his cult like MGT as more revelations emerge, They could have pointed back at him and his cult and said "Look, we really DID empty the swamp.... of trump and his people who tarnished the good name of the GOP". Yadda yadda yadda. They could have dug up all the dirt they have to bury him and move on to DeSantis (Who is just as offensive but with more polish. So even worse). They would have had time to big DeSantis up as the "better" trump. A trump that actually cares for 'Murica. They would have had a rough year or so but every time more dirt comes up about trump, the BETTER it would be for them as they could say "Phew, we got rid of that guy. He wasn't the GOP. He's more DEM than GOP. Those are DEM morals!!!". And every time they compared his loose morals to the libtards, they would push the MAGA cult closer to DeSantis. By now they would be ALL OVER DeSamtis and trump would have been a Dem collaborator or something. I stated previously that I thought if they got rid of trump that they would definitely lose 2024 election but would take that hit 'cos 2024 world is still going to be in the toilet. But I now think that, had they gotten rid of trump in the week after Jan 6 insurrection attempt, they would actually win 2024 easily.

On Jan 7 they wobbled.... And then tucked their tails between their legs and folded and embraced the GQP. The old school GOP members who folded, what do they think of themselves at 4AM. When they look in the mirror. When they hear another ignorant, ill-informed, unprofessional (Usually already-disproved) lie from MGT or trump or his cult? The career GOP members with 30, 40 + years of service. The ones who wobbled on Jan 7 and then folded after half their life representing their party. If they hadn't already sold their soul to the GQP, it would be soul destroying.

Even without a gag-order I would imagine he could be held in contempt for his posts. All hyperbole aside, being as impartial as possible, I assume that there are VERY strict rules and regulations about ongoing cases and what can be publicly released. And what can be said by and about people involved with the case.

I think there was some issue lately with some court official stating somewhere that they thought trump was guilty. I can't remember the details. But yeah, I can imagine that all parties involved in the trial(s) will have to follow extremely strict guidelines regarding media/social media. I know trump has stated that the judge hates him. But I wonder what would happen if he says that when the trial starts?

I think your point @PropJoe10 is a VERY valid one. What will happen if he starts commenting on the ongoing case on media//social media. Or either party (But let's be honest, if anyone is going to comment, it will be him). It will be a nightmare for his lawyers.
