Gates CDX belt failure

Bought a new Cube bike last Sept. with a gates belt drive. Yesterday evening the belt failed on me. The bike had about 1000 km on it. Has anyone had belt failure so early?

Straight snap. Bought online in Dublin. Living in Galway. Sent an email, awaiting reply.
Not much change out of €100 for replacement.

Usually they only snap if they’re tensioned incorrectly, they’re normally rated for like 30k kms, so I’d definitely be pushing for the shop you bought it from to replace it for you.
