Virgin Media changing IP addresses?

Have had same IP address for 10 years, I know it's not a right to have a static, but just changed recently from a 31.xxx etc to a 79.xxx. No biggy, just had to change stuff like CCTV mobile app for access etc. Just curious, has this happened to others?

VM doesn't change the dynamic IP addresses as often as other ISPs - I usually got a new one when the modem had to be power cycled which wasn't very often. You'd need a business account to ensure that you'd get a static public IP address
