If someone uses both the help to buy and first home scheme do they still require a deposit ?

Builders should accept the application details proving approval at contract stage, you shouldn't have to pay out of your own pocket because that defeats the whole point of the scheme but thats not to say it doesn't happen. You can't claim the amount until after contracts are signed.
