Aritech keypad not working after battery change

Hi All.

I recently changed the battery on my Aritech alarm after the keypad "low battery" signal went dead. I expected, after battery replacement, that the keypad and system would be up and running. But, keypad (model: CD3008) is still dead. Nothing at all happening with it. So cant set alarm. Checked all wires, fuses etc. No joy....any ideas....thanks in advance for any and all advice ???

Try a full down power of the system, mains and battery, then power up on mains first and see if it comes on.

Failing that check for power for keypad at panel and keypad, check connections also.

Hi All

Go raibh mile to you all for your replies and advice.

I did all of the above mentioned (I think).

Powered off. Rebooted system, checked fuses and belled out cable to keypad and still keypad is dead.

I'm thinking power is not getting to it.

But can't find out where its falling...except from port 12 and 13.

Ive meted the black and red in 12/13 and nothing across the two.

But metering each across earth theres just about 12v.

I'm thinking theres no power to connection 12 & 13. But All fuses are ok across voltmeter bell.....???

First thing to do is check if cable is damaged.

Bring keypad to panel location and see if it powers off the panel.

Try powering off the 12V supply rather than the keypad bus and see if it powers up
