Attic overflow dripping- but not always. Heating?

    Attic over flow was dripping for a few weeks a while ago, then it seemed to stop.

    Away for a few days and turned heat pump and immersion fully off.

    Turning off the heating(heat pump always on)/immersion may not be related but I can see the overflow is dripping again.

    If this was a float valve or too much pressure in system (pump) issue I would expect dripping to be every day? Or at least at night when we aren't running water?

    Could it be related to turning heating off? Why? If so does it mean when the heating is on I have a leak in UFH. Haven't noticed pressure reducing, so doesn't make sense?

    I can't recall when I saw the overflow last dripping but it's so long ago it's possible it was before the heating season!

    Bad float valve I'd guess. Eye-ball it.

    Seems to have been dirt or soemthing preventing closure. Ball was fully under water.


    exercised float and tried to wriggle a bit.


    seems to be fixed, for now

    Probably corrosion causing it to stick then. Best replace it in the near future.
