People who park their car on and wreck a grass verge without a second thought. Parking on any green area really.

    People who call themselves “intellectual.”

Often the same people as those who Gaelicise their names and are die-hard Green Party supporters/members. Often cultural snobs.

They love to lecture others (in a patronising and condescending manner) on the error of their ways but cannot even see the hypocrisy of their own bullcr*p.

A very specific individual immediately sprang to mind when I read your post. And yes, he's an absolute tosser.

I honestly think if everyone with a Rangerover got rounded up and sent to a gulag somewhere that the world would be a better place. Tossers

People who don't turn off their foglight when you are behind them and you know there is a car in front of you.

The point of the foglight is so cars driving along will be able to easily see a car they might not otherwise see before it's too late. I'm literally driving behind you, I know you are there and now you're blinding me with your fog light you bellend.

I think you should round up people with hangovers and bring them on a booze cruise !

I think it's on us for expecting other people to care about other road users other than themselves... it's too much to expect by the looks of it.

On the fog lights point, anyone who drives around with their front fogs on when there's no fog. It doesn't provide any useful extra light so I'm assuming people think it makes them look cool. Yeah, no.

Front fogs are OK asyou see the road better in darkness

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,125 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

    Wow... no.

I've been driving 25 years and never had an issue with fog lights. I never heard anyone in real life mention them either other than on boards 🤔

    What is the issue exactly?

People who get uppity about the pronunciation of foreign origin words in English.

I hope this post was in gest!

The main issue, really, is that it's illegal to have them on unless you can't see more than 100m in front of you. But it's not a law people care to follow. A pick and choose law it seems, up there with using indicators. The two go hand in hand usually. It is helpful to identify selfish drivers though. So that's a plus I suppose.

That, and some are blinding. Maybe not to you (which is the response most people give to that; "no they're not"), but to other road users they can be. Especially the modern LED ones, and the dipped headlights on those are too bright as is.

They also give no extra usable illumination, and if some thinks they need them on to see better then maybe they shouldn't be driving in the first place. And if they do give extra illumination, then they're badly aligned and most definitely blinding people.

Fcukkers with shaved heads, bandy legs, and a noticeable limp.

    Pure tossers.

It’s just brighter, like when someone is in traffic with their foot on the brakes instead of using the handbrake.

Can just be a big glaring at night.

    So a mild inconvenience 🤣

Can't say I have ever noticed. I don't think I used my fog lights once in the last 10 years. We recently got rid of a car and I don't recall even how to turn them on in that one. Must check in the new car

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,945 ✭✭✭dmakc

People who drive motorways with full headlights on at night. It's not a hard road to follow and it still blinds the oncoming traffic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,992 ✭✭✭✭EmmetSpiceland

And I’d imagine, in the majority of “cases”, it was either turned on by accident or not turned off from the last time using it.

When I was starting out driving I was given a tip, by an older gentleman, for dealing with tailgaters. When they are coming up close pop on your fog lights and accelerate. Just gives you some breathing space.

Anybody who describes themselves as an "activist".

110%, anyone who says 110% should be shot. Also those county hurlers who say "drive on" not to mention soccer players who fall down holding their ankle after being nudged in the back.
