Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Constant grid power consumption

Who identified that it was the meter? my installer said that they will replace parts if Solis provide but I guess I would need Solis to admit that there are issues.

So i mentioned above that I would check and see how it went running only from the grid vs the inverter+battery. The inverter+battery providing the power overnight had 30% less import vs just running from the grid. The loads were not excessive and well within capabilities of the inverter+battery and state of charge.

I also had another interesting example that I provided to Solis. 19th October was a bad storm and I had 0kWh generation. Nothing.

I knew it would be bad so charged up the battery in the early hours on the cheap rate.

MyEnergi - based on this I exported 1.3kWh despite not having generation. You can see the yellow all day and night. I checked vs the ESBN data for import and export and it's close enough. 5.9kWh import & 1kWh export.

Solis - you can notice the little peaks of export all day long.

I identified it. If I didn't have access to more than one platform to monitor it, I'd basically be in the dark.

My installer's first responses were the usual it's your charger/it's your baseload/whatever BS. So I challenged him with endless questions and comparisons between myenergi/solis/ESBN data he had no ideas how to fix it. So they had to come out for something else, and I suggested to change the meter and see if that fixes it. Luckily they agreed, swapped it out, and it's working well since. Hope you get it sorted too, mate.

Here's an example post-meter-change. I was away on a particular day and intentionally didn't charge the battery at night (forecast showed enough production to cover the entire day + evening). 0.3kWh imported / 0.5kWh exported:

I've a Solis hybrid inverter and the last 5 days is been operating as normal. But if I looks at the stats for the previous 5 days is showing the consumption and generation as identical figures. If I look at the figures on the present day everything is normal. If I check the same days figures the following day the consumption and generation figures are identical to reach other again. See below.

I've tried turning off the inverter and the mains power isolator beside it for a few minutes before powering it back on again. But it hasn't resolved it. I received an app update on the 14th Feb. But this wouldn't effect the online information on the laptop.

Any ideas how to resolve this? It should I contact Solis?

Resetting the inverter resolved the problem
