Commercial vs domestic electricity meter

After our electricity bill shot up, we realised we are on a commercial account and not a domestic one. We do work from home, but not in any high intensity way in terms of energy usage. Our location has outbuildings etc and was used more commercially a few decades back which is presumably why the meter is set up that way.

Can anyone share any guidance on:

    1) Is changing over to domestic fairly straightforward?

    2) Is domestic electricity always going to be cheaper?

    3) Are there any disadvantages in losing the commercial meter? Like are they harder to get in/change back to if we did need one in the future?

    Thanks!
