Hi,

Ive had eddi installed for 6 years with PV and battery. All working grand.

I added a Zappi today. I’ve pairs both and they are both bison ale in the devices menu of each.

The eddi is the master.

When I’m charging the car now, the Zappi displays the power as coming from the sun (PV) but it’s obviously not.

Eddi displays it correctly as importing.

CT clamp is on eddi.

Is there a setting I’m missing here?

No, does not make sense to me, Zappi should take all readings off EDDI, weird one. I’d phone MyEnergi Monday and see what they say

Rang them today alright. Said because my eddi is not online (no hub) they can’t see the settings so the girl said it was beyond her experience. Took my number Ned said someone will call me.

There are 2 black circles inside the zappi but nothing connected to the CT ports. Are these anything to look at? Picture added to help.

Them cts are for the in build rcd and power monitoring. Nothing to worry about... Do you have a 3 phase one?

3 phase charger but only using L1 (single phase )

My zappi was charging tonight for 10 minutes then went blank ,any ideas.

Get a hub if at all possible so then you can use the App @Gumbo

If you go into the main menu and select Linked Devices

Then you should see something like this, (in my case Zappi is the Master)

If so then your devices are communicating and sounds like issue with the Zappi

Sh1t, MyEnergi no longer sell their Hub and only available on eBay. Maybe if you ring them they might have some, if not PM me

@Gumbo you might find a hub second hand from someone upgrading (RMA or otherwise) to a new Eddi or Zappi with built-in hub.

This is what Master (Zappi2) screen says. I don't see M for Master on yours

I thought the little wavy symbol meant it was master But I see now that just means that’s the one that has the CT Clamp.

I have an option to set master on the Zappi but don’t seem to have an option on the eddi.

eddi is priority 1 and Zappi 2.

I need to find out how to set eddi as master.

I don’t have a set master function in the advanced settings, linked devices menu

Maybe eddi needs an update. It’s not online at all so still on firmware 1.02.

That you selling the hub on adverts?

I think my eddi firmware 1.02 may be so old it doesn’t even know the Zappi exists and how to communicate properly with it.

So I need a hub to update it.

I know that myenergi used to send out loaner hubs to people that needed to upgrade firmware, that's how I got mine.

They sent it out with some freepost return envelope to send the hub back after upgrading the firmware, but they also gave the option to just keep the hub and pay them for it, which was a good bit cheaper than buying it new, so i decided to keep it. Still working grand.

So, give their support a shout and they might do that.
