Waste Engine Oil & other nasty farm waste

Trying to tidy up the place here at the moment. I've about 100 litres of waste engine oil and a lot of oil filters to get rid of. What's the best way to do this? Is the Local Civic Amenity Centre the only option. They want to charge me € 1per oil litre and €2 per filter.

I also have a nasty container of very old weed killer from my father's time. I want it gone.

Sure ask about for someone with a waste oul burner who would take it for free

There's big collection days every few years, think we had a good clear out in 2017.

Well, I did the big clean out. Had some nasty weed killer here too from my father's time. No idea how to get rid of it all along. The place I normally go to wouldn't take it. After some on-line research yesterday I found that another Local Civic Amenity Centre would take it.

So off I headed with jeep packed to the roof. I arrive at the gate and tell him exactly what I have. 5 Euro, he says. I was a happy man heading home. A bit of spring cleaning can be very therapeutic.

Ya, took waste oil, oil filters, weed killer, electrical appliances. They also take old paint tins, old batteries etc.

This covers Limerick, Kerry & Clare areas.

Reminds me of one time long ago being tasked with taxing a lorry. Headed to a Coco office, told I need to get a letter from dealer, cert from Revenue etc etc, decided to try a different office the next day, walked in and was told that will be €whatever please, no need for any paperwork.
