Treating concrete subfloor

    Hi All,

I just bought my first home and have literally zero knowledge of anything DIY or construction related, so please excuse me if this is an incredibly stupid question.

I've been looking at flooring options recently and most of the quotes I'm getting are quite steep, which I suppose is to be expected in the current economic climate. I'm a big fan of the whole raw, stripped back, industrial kind of look that you might sometimes see in coffee shops etc. I'm wondering is it possible to simply treat the concrete subfloor and leave it as it is, or would that invite some problems down the line?

    Many thanks

    Dave

Hopefully it’s the finished concrete floor you have and not a subfloor.

You can varnish them to help with dust.

    Google “varnish concrete floor”
