Kitchen tap still dripping with new washer

Hi all,

tap was dripping so I replaced the whole brass unit tat houses the washer hoping all would be good… but unfortunately the tap is still dripping , not as much as before but still dripping nonetheless

any tips on a cheaper fix than having to buy and fit a whole new tap in the kitchen

Post a pic of where the tap washer seats. It could be scored and need reaming.

No but looking at what looks like a bent tap as spout looks normal but upright looks like leaning tower of Pisa

But first its water off and then remove tap and look where the washer sits and its condition , a bent tap wont seal as washer is not setting flush to the base to seal it.

Is it more that the tap was not screwed on straight with the spanner and just needs to be taken off and realigned properly? Or to you looks like new tap needed?

If it was not screwed on straight threads might be stripped and needing a new full tap. Maybe if you only changed the top section threads might differ? look at other tap at eye level and you should see the difference
