Can't decide between Stones to Ake or Almiron to Mahrez. Any thoughts?

Already have Odegaard, strikers are Wilson, Kane and Haaland.

I wouldn't be advocating buying a Man City defender, outside of the DGW where they should keep a CS in 1 of the 2 games. I don't think they'll get 2 CS.

2 CS in 9 league games and there are 6 viable options now for them in defence, plus Gomez hanging around. There's gonna be plenty rotation now, especially around GWs 24 & GW 25 when the CL is back. Man City probably won't play in GW28 either.

Taking out the highest scoring defender in the game before Bournemouth away seems mad, wouldn’t be sure about the 3rd option either.

I've Martinelli and floating about 800k. Majority are moving off him to Saka/Odegaard. Saka is the option to go to at my rank as his EO is about half of Odegaard/Martinelli. Have White and Nketiah already. So for me, to gain rank it's a move to Saka.

That's a good way at looking at things.

Using LiveFPL, I can see that Odegaard is a bigger threat to my rank (311k) than Saka is. 47% vs 28%.

Doing Almiron to Saka. Have Martinelli already. Was looking at Williams --> Ake or Akanji for a -4. You've done a good job of filling me with doubt :)

Here's where I'm at at the moment and considering benchboosting

Kepa (Ward)

SALIBA, Trippier, Shaw (Botman, Williams)

MARTINELLI, Mitoma, Salah :(, Rashford, SAKA,

Toney, HAALAND (Mitro)

Anyone worth a -4 then if City defenders are a little untouchable?

EO can be scary, went against Haaland (c) in GW 21 as was not moving much around 400k for a few GW's prior and that was season ending decision for all ML's - Salah (c) 3 pts v Haaland 17 points. 500k OR is bang on points difference away now from my rank.

Are you happy to get through the DGW with small arrow maybe either way and just hold rank?

I'm the opposite so will be going against the high EO's players if I can now.

I should add that I do own Ake. But it's easier to have him than buy him over the next few weeks. City are going to have a lot of rotation and travel coming up.

In terms of alternatives, I would suggest looking into Tarkowski, Kilman & Badiashile who seems to have nailed down a starting spot at Chelsea.

I'm in pretty good form, 7 green arrows in 8 GWs. The red arrow was very small.

I'd say I'd be happy to consolidate alright, as I have navigated the TC Rashford week without playing a chip and I think I'm fairly set for GW25, so possibly can make gains that week. Although at the higher ranks, it's generally more engaged managers who will also be fairly set for the blank GW. I'll be on a -4 too, so consolidating might actually be a good week, and avoiding drops.

Badashile is a nice pick, he got left out of the Champions League squad so you'd iamgine he'll feature full time in the League as a result

You're right, it is madness. Thinking of going with this instead, getting rid of Shaw (I can see Leeds scoring and the blank GW is coming up soon) and replacing him with Kilman. Throwing Alvarez in there is a bit out there but it's a DGW so he hopefully will get some minutes.

Odegaard in for Martinelli (think Martinelli might start on the bench for Trossard). Tough giving up Martinelli as I had him since Day 1.

Saka in for Bruno

Also considering bench boost with a kind of similar bench. Mitro home to Forest seems a very good fixture for a sub. Ward, Shaw, Botman the others for me with Shaw and Botman having decent fixtures. Also would allow me to forget bout my bench being strong for the rest of the season.
