In the English edition of The Sunday Times yesterday, it was reported that Rishi Sunak might withdraw the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights if the European Court of Human Rights rules against the legislation that the UK government is drafting to deter illegal migrants from travelling across the English Channel from France but that such legislation wouldn't be passed before the next UK general election.
More to the point, why have the French authorities failed to prevent these migrants from entering France in the first place?
