The BB dates were very good on the jars I got. They had been 1.99 before but are 2.75 now, so definitely a significant increase.

€1.99 to over €5 is more of a rise on the 1kg

Out of curiosity, do you have peanut by itself?

I'm finding that tub peanut butter very dry.

Somebody mentioned here before about the 10 off 30 when you register a new Dunnes card on the app, don't know if still works, tried last Saturday, new email, message appeared on app stating it could take up to 30mins for voucher to appear, in the meantime a 5 off 25 appeared and the 10 off 30 banner and time notice disappeared.

Sounds like I just got unlucky with the BBE dates; not affected by it though as it lasts ages.

I would rarely eat peanut butter on its own, unless I am licking off what's left over on the knife/spoon before washing it.

Have you stirred it properly? I notice toward the end of a tub that it gets a lot drier due to lower presence of oils but I find giving it a quick stir once a day all over keeps it at a good consistency.

The Lidl ones don't take too long to stir, either. I have opened tubs where a rock is inside and having to break it down to blend in with the oils is a workout in itself.

i add it to porridge oats or have it on rice crackers with banana, it is vital to keep stirring the pot or you will be left with concrete at the bottom

Dunnes 10 off €30 for new sign-ups was scraped and replaced with 5 off 25 back in nov-dec2022 ( in time for the big spend on Christmas )

I think Dunnes also did away with the sign up without a mobile number, I joined up again last week and couldn’t seem to find an option of just email only like it was before

They give an option to sign up with email, but request your number later.

yeah Dunnes stopped the 10 off 30 just before Christmas and replaced it with 5 off 25 for new sign ups. Its still 25% off but nowhere near as good as the 33% off with the 10 off 30. Its a pity as I was going into Dunnes all last year buying 30 quids worth of meat for 20 euro, it was easily the best discount across all supermarkets.

Otherwise I was almost going to delete the Lidl app as the scratchcards feel like a slap in the face recently with discounts on low value stuff that was previously given away for free. But for the first time in a fair while their treats this week are actually stuff I would normally buy, prawns, chorizo, spuds and then that Slumberjack coffee which is decent.

Also my app forced me to update and in doing so it makes you choose a store. A pop up came up to say that the offers and treats may vary by store which is new to me. I know they always made you choose a store but the offers being potentially different store to store is something I hadnt seen before. Im guessing now they can use the geo location data to push out offers to people in locations where they are competing with Aldi but hold them back in other areas where there is no Aldi.

A lot to be said for Lidl, when it comes to grocery packing, no hold up at the tills. I was behind a woman in Dunnes there, she had to pack everything I the bags in trolley before she paid at till, ffs!

Wrong above. It was the misshelving of the multicoloured chocolate peanuts.
