Seat Ateca Options

I am considering buying an Ateca. I have narrowed it down to 2 options:

    1. 2019, 36,000kms, 1.6 TSI €32K
    2. 2017, 95000kms 2.0TDI 150HP 4DRIVE Xcellence €23K

I like the price of the 4DRIVE but dont know if this is a false economy with the higher kms. I dont particularly need a diesel for mileage but I do a few long runs a year with work, maybe once a month, maybe more.

Would anyone recommend a Hyundai Tuscon over an Ateca? I'm driving a 5 series BMW at the minute, fed up paying loads of money for a car. Just want something reliable, nice and fairly inexpensive now that I can fit 3 kids in the back occasionally.

Dont know to much about the Ateca, but they seam like a solid enough car....came across this one on Done deal with low mileage which could be worth a look..

Actually one thing I just remembered about the Ateca, a friend of mine had one before , he does a lot of driving all around the country, he liked the car very much except he felt the drivers seat wasn't very high quality and caused him problems on long journeys.

That is one thing about the 5 series, you arrive at your destination not as beaten up by the roads after a long trip.

Those Atecas don't seem that much cheaper than a 5 series to me....you'll still fit 3 kids in back of a 5 series.

You could get a 2018 5 series for much the same price as the 2019 Ateca. I'd stick 5 series.

I know its SUV but doesn't sound like you really need one.

We are going down to one car as we dont use the 2nd car we have. The wife wont drive the 5 series, too long for her : (

Ah ok, thats a pity you've to move it on for that reason of about half a metre. Far nicer than an Ateca but sure there you go. I have moved down in class from 5 series and A6 and only for the fact I went electric, I'd be back in the big German saloons in the morning.

They dont make a 1.6 FSI Ateca - is it a 1.6 TDI? Hard to beat the 2017 4Drive at that money, they are about 50k new.
