TAX for receiving parcel from France

Hi, Would like to know do i need pay VAT if i buy things online and ship to my friend's house in France, then let him ship to Ireland, does it work ? Thanks

Yes you will need to pay VAT for anything purchased within the EU (unless you are VAT registered and its a valid business purchase) and there are no taxes due on most imports from the EU
