New Facelifted Dacia Duster 2023

Has anyone looked at the new Dacia, the exterior has been upgraded and the interior on the LHD cars also, but as we are RHD they have retained the old dated interior so it looks like a half upgraded car WTF!!!!

Renault think we are second class to them as a Renault Clio hybrid they still sell in Ireland is still the older less powerful version while if you went to Renault UK or France website they have the better newer hybrid car for sale. I think they use us to sell all the old excess stock until it's gone despite the cars more expensive here than UK and France but I'm not an expert on whether that's our government taxes or the car manufacturers screwing us.

Not as good as other countries, we have 90bhp 1.0 petrol or 115bhp 1.5 diesel. Other European countries get 150bhp diesel with dual clutch gearbox, 4x4 diesel options, and LPG/bi-fuel model. They also get the 1.3 130bhp petrol.

I don’t blame them for simplifying the range here.

just under €26k, same thing in France is about €4500 less.

We have €4250 VRT though, and our VAT is 23% vs 20% in France.

They have a dual clutch 150bhp 1.3 petrol version in Ireland I was just on the Dacia website. They also sell a 4x4 115bhp 1.5 diesel too.

Absolutely, I wonder of the cars Romania builds how many are RHD? I know India produce locally for their own market.

also, how long before they’ll have to stop the current Duster, which is essentially out since 2010 with a few facelifts?

Probably why Ireland buys far fewer Renaults than a lot of continental markets. Seems the Korean and Japanese brands are way more dominant here than in most of Europe, and when you see things like that you can understand why.

To be fair do the new dash looks terrible. It's just so boring. At least the old one had some character and style to it with the round vents for instance.

It's still not the nicest place to be do all hard plastics but what do you expect with it being so cheap. Its hard wearing do.

Dacia really just needed to release cars with the new branding, there's not much point them making a load of changes to the current Duster when there's a new one on the way for next year

How does having circular vents add character and style? They are just ugly old fashioned plastic vents. The only vents I can think of that add character to a car would be the ones found in a mk1 Audi TT

Mercedes I think still use circular vents in most of their line up, latest models have mood lighting within them.
