Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Last Friday a group of Republican Wyoming legislators introduced a bill to ban the sale of EVs effective 2035. Intended to safeguard the state’s oil and gas industries (The Hill 16 January 2023).

To what extent will old tech rule Wyoming if passed? Not to mention a lack of concern for the adverse effects of environmental pollution?

It should be noted that Wyoming is the smallest population (585,501) state of the 50. Several states are banning gasoline vehicles for some future dates.

Will it be profitable for the automotive corporations to produce vehicles for a declining market in the future? Pictures Wyoming continuing to maintain and drive old classic cars as occurred for decades in Cuba.

Senate Joint Resolution 4 (SJ4) doesn't actually come with any enforcement powers – it simply "encourages and expresses as a goal" the elimination of new EV sales. Just more Republican hot air.

The actual bill https://wyoleg.gov/Legislation/2023/SJ0004 is nothing more than "thoughts and prayers" for the oil industry

Wyoming can always fall back on hayburners.

Follow up. Per USA Today 27 January 2023 Fact Check the Wyoming resolution regarding the discouragement and banning the sale of EVs by 2035. USA claims that the ban failed to pass in January (false claim of passage).
