    Romero should be off.

Was French keeper in 18 because they had no one better. I reckon he would have been dropped by France before 22 if Maignan could stay fit.

Sarr gets booked for a slight nudge on Martinelli, Romero a very lucky boy not to get a second yellow for that tackle.

Saka was causing all sorts of problems in the first half but I doubt he has touched the ball in the first 20 minutes of the second.

How is Romero still on the field?

Ramsdale had a cheeky laugh in the face of Richarlison as he was setting up for the last kick of the game, Richarlison was then seen pointing his finger right into the face of Ramsdale.

Ramsdale then had something thrown at him while retrieving his drink bottle, and that fan who tried to jump on will surely see a ban for that.

    Handbags really.

One of the big differences Today was the difference in performance of the keepers funnily enough.

The fan got a kick in at Ramsdale as well that's a lifetime ban right there.

Richarlison probably deserves a ban too for his post match antics.

Hard to believe some Arsenal supporters wanted Arteta gone only last season. Doing some job there in fairness

Just seen that now from the better angle. He will lucky if it is just a lifetime ban.

Ramsdale might get something for inciting them, he remained fairly calm in the face of Richarlison who should see something for his actions.

I don't want this to sound like a backhanded complement but I still look at the Arsenal first XI and wonder how they are doing this but the performances have all been there.

We beat Arsenal 4-0 at A field last season but it was 0-0 at HT. That 45 mins was the first time in years I'd felt threatened by Arsenal at Anfield and the first time I thought "hey this team has a bit of bite about them".

No chance he’s inciting perfectly entitled to celebrate at the end of the game on the pitch. There no defending that

The thing is he celebrated towards the Spurs fans, pointing to the badge and that. He said in his post-match interview that he gave some stick back as he had been getting it all game.

He is entitled to celebrate, but I'd say Arteta would have preferred him to head towards his own fans - much like Arteta had to usher Xhaka away as many were drawn towards the drama.

The FA normally don't like that.

The FA have bigger fish to fry than a keeper kissing his badge at the end of the game. a lifetime ban for the "fan" and perhaps something for Richarlison, who reacted to Ramsdale slowing down the game right at the end. He raised his arm at the end and I feel like he made contact with Ramsdale. I'd say goalkeepers take torrents of abuse during a game, especially a derby game, so I wouldn't begrudge him the "subtle" celebration.

    I certainly wouldn't either.

I think Richarlison came back over because of the celebration.

I also think the fan should be punished with a lifetime season ticket.

I sat in the front row directly behind the goal at a match in the Emirates once. I wouldn't blame any keeper for giving a little back in a harmless manner like that after a win, they get abuse hurled at them for 45 minutes straight at one end.

Milan were the same last year when they somehow just managed a golden few months of no injuries or massive drop of form to the starting 11. Same for the last title winning Liverpool side.

If you are very lucky a quality first 11 us enough.

Anyone who gets too upset or violent about a sports person celebrating can fuk right off. It's absolutely pathetic the anger levels supposed adults reach over some gesture.

That happens almost every week for away GKs it’s a standard in the game. It’s often nasty but banter too. There isn’t an ounce of wrong in it for Ramsdale. He didn’t leave the pitch, approach the fans and celebrate OTT it was very subdued.

Any finger pointing at him is just victim blaming. Spurs themselves will come out and condemn that and apologize

It's a perfect storm for Arsenal

    United in rebuild

City & Liverpool having a big drop off

1 injury all season for Arsenal in Jesus,

Look at City the weekend missing there 2 first choice CBs, Liverpool missing there first choice CB & 4 forwards

Arsenal will be praying the good luck on that front continues, Huge help there not in champions league

None of those factors have helped Arsenal win 15 out of 18 games

Are we ignoring the injury to Tomiyasu who was our starting RB? Are we also ignoring the injury to Smith Rowe who at this stage last season was our top scorer? Huge help we're not in the champions league even though we have played the same amount of group games as the teams that are.

Richarlison has to be one of the angriest men in football, chap looks like he has real issues. Not a good look at all.

I think Arsenal caught a break too when their game with City w as s put off earlier in the season too. Just gave them a run of winable games and helped them build momentum. A loss at that point MAY have scuppers them a bit (may not have either, we'll never know) but it just put off a possible crucial game until a time when they could cope with it better I believe.

Their form has been brilliant so far though, they have been the best team thus far, but they still have a long way to close it out.

Id normally agree with you on Richarlison but yesterday his team have lost against there biggest rival & there keeper is beside him taunting his fans ,

I think he has every right to tell Ramsdale to do one, The Spurs Fan should be banned for life,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,954 ✭✭✭✭yourdeadwright

I hope Arsenal win it i really do but week on week they are starting to look very emotional at a very early stage, the don't have the coldness yet we see from City or Liverpool in recent years ,I think if they lose a game they might start to unravel , they seem on the edge

I really would like to see them win it over City ,United & Newcastle

I hate this attitude that injuries are down to luck. Yes, clubs can have bad luck with players getting injured during a game through no fault of their own (eg. VVD's bad injury by Pickford) or during international duty (eg. Jesus at the World Cup). But maybe the reason why Arsenal have such a good injury record this year is because players are being managed correctly in training, the medical team are doing the necessary preemptive work to reduce the likelihood of players getting injured, etc. On the other hand rather than saying the likes of Liverpool are missing players through bad luck with injuries, it should be questioned why this is continuing to happen Liverpool players. This is the 2nd season in 3 years that they've had an exceptional high number of injuries.

But I remember people saying after Arsenal's draw with Southampton that it was going to kill their momentum and that was the point where their title challenge would fall apart. But that didn't happen. And their results since then have been excellent. From what I've seen of them so far this season, I don't think this is a team that falls apart because of one result.
