Correct. Email said no, tesla account said €1. Email said they will take it but are offering no valuation.

Thanks. Thats way more than i would think is possible. At the minute will keep and use it until situation with the Y clears up a bit then will be in a better position.

Does anyone know when the new features of the Model Y 2023 model (Comfort Suspension, Matrix Headlights, Enhanced 5M Cameras, Structural Battery, 4680 cells?) are expected to be included. For cars currently produced in China are any of these features incorporated? My instinct is that it will cause a bit of a concern for those expecting delivery over the coming weeks along with some anticipation of price adjustments for some European markets. Seems reasonable that if the Chinese price reductions are (as Tesla has said) passing on some efficiencies in manufacturing process that it would spread globally.

Have you got a VIN in source code or have they confirmed you have been allocated a VIN out of interest? Haven't seen anyone on here yet confirm they have been allocated a VIN!

Aren't Tesla deliveries Q1 and Q3 though? So unlikely to land any more cars prior to the expiry/reduction of the grant in July.

Leaving all that aside, I've driven the four conventional Tesla models. I've also driven EV offerings from up and down the ranges of BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Polestar and Volvo.

Teslas are so poor by comparison to most of them, in so many ways, it actually isn't funny.

Can you enlighten us why you consider Teslas so poor in comparison to other (Mainly more expensive) cars?

Every car is a compromise, the main purpose is to get from A to B as safely, comfortably and as efficiently as possible. I have over a million miles under my belt at this stage and I consider my Tesla Model 3 RWD as good as you will get. After 16K kms there are no rattles, everything is as taut as you would expect, with tech and updates first class. Long trips are a pleasure, no planning needed. In the last few months I have done London and 3 Belfast runs from Co Wexford.

Of course no car is perfect, incl Tesla. But cannot agree with your post.

Tbh I was being sarcastic about the lack of USS. I think they are a nice to have feature but not having them wouldn't put me off really as I tend to mostly reverse park and the camera will be better than nothing.

Agreed, it was a big mistake judging by the backlash in here and other forums.

For sure it will cost orders and while there is a chance that Tesla roll back and potentially re-add them in future, it will surely hurt sales.

Haven't driven a Y yet, waiting for Cork to get one so I can give it a proper test on poor rural roads. By the time I would get the Dublin one out of the city it would be time to come back again.😁.

Have sat in one a few times, nice spacious car. Not mad on the back seat, bit low compared to front for me. But I would never be there.😊

Acres of room though, plenty of foot room under front seats and very practical boot. Think I prefer the 3, but Y is great value atm and for anyone needing the volume and raised driving position it's a topper. The missus is half considering changing her Ioniq 5 as she wants a tow bar for bikes which her base Ioniq will not allow.
