    Hey folks

I'll be going to Galway in late Feb and looking to know if there are any Club's or late bars open at the moment,

Last summer i was in Galway & there was no real late venues that you'd call a night club bar one near Eyre Square which was full of kids,

Which is it late bar or night clubs?

Loads of late bars, not sure how you could have been in Galway in June and not found them. There are 2 nightclubs and neither are geared to older clientele.

    Hey Ben

Which are the two clubs DNA is one what is the other ?

What are the good late bars , i think Coyote was the only one we found ,

Coyote is the other I'd class as a nightclub. You won't stroll in there at 2pm on Tuesday for a quiet pint or anything.

Dáil, Front Door, Quays, 1520, Buskers, Skeff, Kings Head, Seven etc etc. Some may open later than others. Some may not want a large group of men all entering at once.

My best advice is head up to the students bar in UCG.

I always pull up there, college birds are well on for it. Tuesday through Thursday.

    I am 45 btw.

In fairness Coyotes is not a nightclub. It’s a late bar and very much caters to a young crowd. The only nightclub in Galway now is DNA (formerly Karma). I haven’t been in it years but based on the photos I see the venue posting online it is mostly a young crowd. It’s a shame there are so few nightclubs in Galway. Must have been 6 or 7 when I was in college. Plus you had Halo for the older crowd.

Agree that is no shortage of late bars at least.

Have to say Halo was a great spot for a late drink on a weekend away ,

I guess its not just a galway problem but just a sign of the times Nightclubs seem to be a dyeing breed, If they where not someone would have come in a seen a gap in the market in a place like Galway,

I do wonder will it eventually have an effect on the hens& stags that go there, although Kilkenny which would be Galway's rival for them kind of parties also doesn't really have a nightclub ,

These are the best options. No offence to those places, but the options are limited and stale. The same places that were there 15 years ago, offering the exact same thing they did back then, except more expensive. Nothing has changed. Add in Monroe's / Taylors if you fancy crossing the bridge - at least they are trying something or Pucan if you want closer to Eyre Square.

Any recommendations for a group of 10 lads in there early to late 30s

Some where where you might see a few decent women ,

Pucan for sport during the day. Then probably Front Door / Quays at night. Taylor's if you fancy the walk, but that could be a bit younger and mainly outdoors.

In the quays is it just the pub part or is there another part of it ?
