Shower running too hot

Hi all, the shower in my ensuite is feed by a pump in the hot press. Recently we have noticed that the water is too hot to shower comfortably. The tap to adjust the temperature seems to have a very limited movement so maybe it is clogged up with limescale. Any suggestions welcome?

The temperature dial is connected to a cartridge. Probably a thermostatic cartridge. It sounds like this might need replacing.
