Throw money into the pit or start a hopefully shallower pit?

So I have 132 Passat and that I've already spent €500 on a new a/c condenser. After it's most recent service the mechanic noticed a few jobs that need doing, front passenger spring is broken, back two shocks are leaking,the injector seals are leaking and there's an oil leak(he thinks from the oil cooler but can't be certain).

So my question is do I throw money into this pit or just buy a different car?keeping in mind I can only really afford to stick to 2012-2014 age bracket

It doesn’t seem like much of a money pit. Its mostly just general car maintenance (shocks, springs), and the car is now 10 years old. I’d get the jobs done and keep the car. Whatever you buy could end up being in worse condition

Aye true, rough idea of ballpark figure to get it all sorted, my mechanic is sound I know not shafting me on price but seems reluctant to do all the work at once and rather do it bit by bit whereas is prefer even if it takes a few days to get it sorted in one go

Would you try to tackle some of them yourself? I am no way near a mechanic but about a year ago I started doing a bit on my own vag car. Started with simple servicing it and moved onto doing brakes and last job was doing both rear shocks. Bought all items from Winparts.ie I think, they are based in Holland (may be corrected). I found that once you start doing stuff yourself you get a good kick out of it. Again I was never mechanically minded growing up but cost eventually led me to just giving it a go. Hope that helps.

What engine is i her? And what mileage/kelometerage has she done?
