Its very obvious. He believes that the press had too much power in the UK and their wings need to be clipped.

He is very fond of his father and brother but expects a bit more from them.

To be fair, he is articulate and very media savvy. He has had a lifetimes training in media and the time in the US has polished that. He is adept at appearing to answer questions, yet offering nothing substantive other than a really well crafted whataboutery.

An example, is that in the Oprah interview? Noone was labelled a racist 😉

Did Megan say "racist", and then a segue into unconscious bias.

He has spent a lot of time on couches and it shows in how he crafts his tale. He's happier than ever and it's a stu in the eye of "some" in the family.

Indeed they're two peas in a pod right now- you could be right but I'd prefer to see something a bit more positive uniting them- there's a fierce amount of negativity around them both right now- that's not really what a marriage is about.

Agree but it's a very narrow well rehearsed narrative. And he is the victim always.

I don't think I'm missing anything not knowing his opinion on world affairs.

Well I don't. I always thought McGregor was just a loud mouth. And yes, Harry is very articulate (as is Meghan).

They alluded to racism in the Oprah interview- the way they worded the incident was very deliberate even though they didn't label the RF "racist" at the time, they knew that's the implication that would be inferred.

-since then they've pulled back to using terms such as "unconscious bias" and "stereotyping"- it's still racism, but a more "forgiving" version of it.

well to be fair most of them are arrogant deluded and self entitled so harry isn't the only one guilty of that, but either way it doesn't change the reality that he more or less is speaking the truth.

i would say no the british are not lucky to have prince billy and princess katty in the line of succession given we know what william is and kate while she isn't in any way a bad person just does not have what meghan has in terms of dealing with the public.

remember kate is only tolerated because meghan is hated, whereas before hand kate was hated by the same people now pretending to love her.

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

he is a victim, a victim of a racist, backward, out of touch institution which brutalises it's members.

I think they've been very united since the start. The Netflix doccer was a snoozefest but they do seem very much in love and solid. Obviously it's impossible to actually know but that's what I thought after viewing.

Interestingly, the person that seemed to come out worst of the interview was not William or Charles, but Camilla - he may her sound like a conniving battle axe and he got a very subtle dig in at her friendship with Clarkson.

Well he did say if he could achieve a family reconciliation "it would send a ripple around the world" NOBEL PRIZE 🏆

Ah yeah, none of us on this thread "know" so it's only our opinion. My view is that with all of these battles since even before their marriage and a very very short relationship before their engagement, they haven't really had the chance to just be a couple, getting used to each other and growing peacefully together- it's been a rollercoaster of negativity - personally i think they need to just drop all of this because before long it will consume both them, and their marriage, if it hasn't already.

Was hoping to hear more about the frostbite

Ridiculously curious to find out how that's even possible down there

I'm still waiting to hear what Royal poo smells like- I've £50 on lavender with a hint of mint.

Just reading that subtle dig, I'm not sure if Harry is as thick as people on here think.

For those with insomnia, the entire transcript of the ITV interview at the end of this article- might help if posters need to quote directly what he said.

Yes. And pretty much no need whatsoever to go about it the way he has, and is. Comes across a bizarre way to show your loved ones that you love them.

Far too much unnecessary private family moments he’s leaked.

So much private conversations he’s revealing that have no business of anyone’s

Harry is absolutely articulate and polished.

McGregor is about as far from articulate as you could get. I actually find it very uncomfortable listening to him

And my point is. Someone who appears articulate to one person may not be regarded as articulate by another

I know it's too late, but William should not talk with Harry anymore unless there are people present.

He wants to ruin the possibility of William becoming monarch.

Your point isn't great. It's not that subjective as a concept. Harry speaks articulately.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,782 ✭✭✭Xander10

Harry has learned the responses by rote from coaching ...eg keep saying it's unconscious bias not racism blah blah blah.

His story about breaking his necklace was very moving, I must admit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 632 ✭✭✭squidgainz

So you think everything he's said in the media is rote learned responses and he is not articulate? Hmm.

People nowadays consume media for confirmation of their views and this interview will be a good example. People will see this through the lens of their preferred pre-conceived viewpoint.

That said, I thought the interview was a very bad move and adds nothing to his and Meghans case. There are details contained within the book that expose very personal details about his brother in particular, and while these can be read by anyone interested through buying the book, the interview shares them in a much more amplified and immediate way. Now the juicy bits have a habit of getting out there anyway, but coming directly from his own lips in an interview, makes it come across as a bit spiteful.

That all grates, against his stated hope for a reconciliation with his family. I'd say another wedge has been added instead.

Against that though, he does have very valid points about the British media and their relationship with Buckingham Palace so the Camilla bit was very interesting. Knowing that she had lunch with Jeremy Clarkson a couple of days prior to his despicable article, gives credence to his claims that she is among the ringleaders within the palace in briefing against them. I'd say another round of articles are lined up on foot of this. Maybe they'll be a bit more subtle this time than Clarkson was capable of.

Who knows at the end of the day where the truth lies here? Is Meghan difficult to get on with? Possibly. Are Harry and Meghan creating a persecution complex for their own ends? Unlikely, I'd have thought, based on the evidence that is clear in the vitriol directed towards them.

"I don't know whether they'll be, you know, watching this or not, but, what they have to say to me and what I have to say to them will be in private, and I hope it can stay that way."

How can he even say that with a straight face? During an interview he is doing to promote his book which is full of the details of private conversations. You couldn't make it up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 632 ✭✭✭squidgainz

I think every article ever wrote about them has been less subtle then Clarksons!. I think that hurt the palace a bit , swayed a good few towards Meghan and proved them correct regarding the British media. I think the RF could have spoke out against it too, everyone else did.

Me watching the interview and trying to decipher what the actual **** he is going on about.

Articulate? He was rambling. Bradby in fairness seemed more than willing to challenge him and ask follow up questions but even he seemed to struggle in understanding the points Harry thought he was making.
