Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has anyone used the SpyPoint CELL-LINK which turns any trail camera into one that can email pics?

After having the same problems with Suntak.I bit the bullet and got the Spypoint Cell Link. Best 220 quid I've ever spent.

They are virtually ZERO trouble to set up on your phone and on your PC and are pretty much set up and forget about them. If you connect them to a 12v 7AH battery, leaving them out in the field for 18/24 months plus is not a problem.

Thomas Jacks in the UK/IRL fixes them and their aftersales service is spot on.I had some problems with installing new software, and the housing had broken off the tripod mount. Fixed and overhauled for free,[bar postage to the UK] They get pricey if you need more than 100 pics per month and start buying all their add ons for pics and accessories.

Do not get the integrated solar power model! It leaks and has issues because of it. I drop by once every 4 months and give the lens a wipe and update its software. Switch off and then on and leave it to hunt about for 3/4 mins until you re-acquire the signal. Give the inner door seal a lick of vaseline or wD and that's it for service.

The Suntak in comparison are utter nightmares, to programme,to acquire signals, waterproof and only works with Meteor who charge enough for every picture... Its erratic on everything. Best used as a decoy camera, or as a target, as that's all you want to do with them after 12 months.

No idea if it's good, bad or indifferent but Lidl warehouse in Newbridge is doing one of their big sales. They have their trailcam for €50. They're up beside the cashier. Plenty of them.

Hi, have a Spypoint Link Micro Lte, stopped working about a month ago. not picking up a signal, has anyone experienced this issue?

have been in touch with the company via chat, and completed all actions including trying to update the version via the SD card, have a feeling it's the sim card?

    thanks

Could you try your phone SIM in it to see if it works

Had the same problem.FWIW, send it over to the UK dealership /service, via their Irish dealership office and they'll sort it out for you. They did mine in a T&T in around ten days inc service and replaced the housing where it had broken off the mounting screw.

Its an integrated SIM card,so its not interchangeable

I have just just bought the spypoint LM 2 from camera centre in Dublin for approx 158 including delivery.

Do I top up this SIM?

No, you don't do anything with the SIM.Its inbuilt to the camera. You install the Spypoint app on your phone or computer, etc and register an account.Once you have that installed you have 100 free pics per month. If you need more that's where spypoint starts making their money off you in the add-ons and other stuff. If you can live with the 100 pics you are golden.

Is it automatically charged if more than 100 pics are taken or does the camera stop taking pics after 100?

    Cheers

Stops taking pics and FIK stops sending them to you.

Don't think it stops taking pictures , but they do stop sending then, well worth it though.

Ya the LM2 is 69$ on Amazon in the states. It says the link models work throughout Europe with no restrictions mentioned and it's not as if all off Europe shares a common mobile carrier.
