Iomega External Hard Drives

Hi All,

I have 2 iomega external hard drives and looking for someone to check if they are infected as I had them connected to my pc and that became infected and had to replace it,if the drives are OK I,ll want them formatted so I can use them again,if anyone knows of any person or shop in cork city I would be grateful for any info.

Have you thought of using anti virus software?

I don,t want to connect them to my new pc, if they are Infected as it might spread to my new system.

Well they have to be connected to a pc in order to format/ retrieve data.

You could always do as suggested here and boot of a usb Linux distro and then scan your drives.

but if you're really concerned might be best to drop into a shop. I'd do it for you in Dublin for the craic but not much use when you're in cork.
