Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I find Shirley giving every dance a standing ovation has taken all the meaning out of it. Hamza is my favourite, the others just aren’t likeable to me.

Given who was in the dance off, it was the right result. Won't mention any names in case some having watched it yet.

Craig seems to have gone a bit overboard with the eyeliner

He is taking part in the group dance tonight, er, I mean tomorrow night 😁 so that's probably why.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,915 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

Ah! My boyfriend said he looked like a ventriloquist's dummy 🤣

I was very meh about most of the dances tonight. Couldn't believe some of the scores.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,046 ✭✭✭hamburgham

Same here. I liked Molly’s Paso best. The standard isn’t up to much this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,530 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Hamza's charleston was my favourite last night.

I wasn't blown away by any of the others, Molly's paso was good though.

I think the judges are getting a bit giddy coming towards the finale, their scores were all over the shop!

Who's to be in the dance-off, though? Hard to call! If it's Molly, again, my money would be on her to win through, it's practically part of her routine now, and that paso was very strong.

I was really disappointed with Helen's two dances - she looked incredibly stiff, the first one she looked like she was in an invisible neck brace. I wonder has she hurt her back or neck, or something? Because she's fit as a fiddle and well able to move, usually.

I feel quite negative saying this but nothing really impressed me that much last night. They all suffered for having to do 2 dances.

So many pasos in one night too.

I can't call who'll be in the dance-off. Molly, because it seems standard by now.

    Will to go for me.

Was there no group dance this week???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,513 ✭✭✭✭ohnonotgmail

Right decision for Will to go. Didn't like his showdance. It even made Nancy look poor.

I was all for Will to go, but I'd have saved him from that dance-off - I thought Fleur and Vito were much better first time around, loads of timing/sync issues in the dance-off.

But I think Fleur would probably have had to fall in a heap to get voted off.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,046 ✭✭✭hamburgham

Yes,in fairness to Anton,he called out Fleur’s mistake in the dance off and voted accordingly.

I liked Will’s dance second time round. Poor Nancy was gutted, the pros really invest in it.

Loved Carlos’s reaction when Molly got through. I’d like to see them win, have enjoyed his choreography.

I have read elsewhere that the group dance was edited out because Eastenders was on for forty minutes, instead of the usual thirty, so there was an issue re time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,150 ✭✭✭Xander10

Like others have said, I found it an underwhelming week. Didn't enjoy any dances.

I do like Hamza and it seems a foregone conclusion that the public will vote him the winner, regardless on next week's dances.

The judges have been way too predictable, maybe time for a shake up.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 6,675 Mod ✭✭✭✭pinkypinky

They all suffered for having 2 dances and nothing was very impressive, which for a semi-final, is just wrong.

It was so weird to have it all on a Monday night, and then for ITT to be on live directly afterwards. It made a mockery of the pretence that the results are live. I think it was the right decision for Will to go. But Nancy seemed over the top upset, even still on ITT, which is 2 days later.

Was also questioning where the group dance was - they had mentioned it a couple of times and that Craig was dancing in it. How can Eastenders run over? Surely it's recorded.

I think eastenders has a special episode for Dot Cottons funeral.

Yes, it was a special episode of Eastenders.

Just read that the dance was edited out due to the awful drowning tragedy in the UK.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,513 ✭✭✭✭ohnonotgmail

    that sounds odd.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 6,675 Mod ✭✭✭✭pinkypinky

I wonder did the dance involve lots of icicles and water?

So who do we think will win?

Hamza has never been in the dance-off. Fleur & Molly have repeat d/os and Helen has one (?)

That says Hamza has had a very strong voting base all along.

They did a run through of loads of stats last night on ITT - Hamza ahead on most metrics.

I don't think he's the best dancer technically, but I think (and hope) he'll win!

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 7,364 Mod ✭✭✭✭HildaOgdenx

I think it's between Hamza and Helen.

Will be interesting to see where the Will vote transfers to, possibly to Helen?

Hamza would be my preferred winner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,915 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

I really, really wish Vito would stop practically cupping Fleur's boob.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,915 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

Absolutely zero retraction in Helen's jive. I thought she looked really uncomfortable in the opening too and honestly, she doesn't look well imo. She's skeletal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,530 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Much as it peeves me to say it, I think Fleur smashed that first round.

Hamza 2nd, Helen 3rd (I just adore that jive) and Molly 4th (her QS just didn't excite me as much as first time around).

Something went seriously wrong at the start of that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,046 ✭✭✭hamburgham

Yes, hard to believe she’s a finalist.

Overall, I think it’s the lowest standard final ever. I’d like to see Molly win, I like Carlos.

I love love love Hamza and Jowita, and that dance is my favorite. It gives me chills every time.

Anybody else notice that Matt Goss isn't there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,915 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

He is, with a face on him like a smacked arse.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 494 ✭✭Pistachio19

    Really hope Hamza wins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,513 ✭✭✭✭ohnonotgmail

He must be hiding in the back. He was miserable throughout. A terrible dancer and no personality

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,513 ✭✭✭✭ohnonotgmail

I saw him in the group dance. Simply awful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,530 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Tape all over her left hip.

I really wonder was she injured the last couple of weeks? She was improving all the way, and then just seemed off the last couple of dances.

Liebe Herr was an absolutely outstanding way to end the series though - that's one of the stand-out dances of the series for me.

Last with the judges tonight but top with the public, which is all that matters.

Yes Go Hamza 👏🏻 Delighted he won 🏆

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,530 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

I actually thought Fleur might do it.

Delighted with Hamza as a winner, as much as I was rooting for Helen.

He just made me smile to watch.

He seems like a nice guy but I thought his hair was repulsive.

Gorka looked totally pissed off . I mean I get he was disappointed but he was very unprofessional , he barely managed to clap and Helen had to pull him over to congratulate Hamza

Thrilled for Hamza and Jowita they were simply joyful .

Delighted for Hamza and Jowita, absolutely delighted.

I was watching Helen and Gorka as the announcement was being made, and they both need to work on their 'gracious loser' faces, especially him.
