I just switched from Eir to Vodafone, keeping the openEir service and porting my landline.

On my Eir service , caller ID showed all incoming numbers in the format as 00353871234567

On the new Vodafone service, caller ID shows as 353871234567.

The problem is when I hit call on the new Vodafone formatted numbers, the number won't dial / connect. I have to use 0035387... or the standard 087 format.

Anyone have similar issues or ideas how to fix ? It's very annoying especially for calling people back for missed calls.

I had a similar problem with numbers from contacts saved in my phone.

What I had to do was either edit them before dialing by removing the 00353 and inserting a "0" and, likewise if they were to be saved to my phonebook.

It'd be handy if Vodafone just fixed this so that the number comes in as 00353 (like eir do it) or just have the "0" instead of 353!

Did you ever get a fix or anything from Vodafone on it?
