Creating an index of Dropbox Files

Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked before. Seems like a very basic function, but as someone who uses/ relies on this kind of tech very infrequently I'm stumped!

Essentially, I have Dropbox Folder with a lot of subfolders and files which I need to create an index of for inclusion in another document. I can't seem to find a tool/ feature anywhere in Dropbox to do it.

Am I missing something obvious??

Any help appreciated!

I doubt you'll find anything in Dropbox for it. Maybe someone has made an app for it: https://www.dropbox.com/apps but I wouldn't be sure of it.

However, assuming all the files are also sitting on a Windows machine, it's very easy to do it there. Open up Command Prompt or Powershell, change to the directory in question, then type:

tree /F

This will give you a structured list of all the files and folders from that directory down
