I saw a video online of the biggest news stories in the UK from the year 2000 to 2022. These are the stories' I can think of. What can you think of?

I think it broke today there was law dr on Radio 1 this evening talking about the Blackrock School scandal, she said they had been contacted by women that either fell in love with priests or were pressured in to relationships with them and have had children with them. Like women with young children now so current abuse stories. If they are true then nothing has changed (why would it). She dropped it on the radio host live on air. They nearly had a baby themselves in shock,

How did he even get away with that the civil service would not pay in cash. I mean gl going to the local shop and trying to cash a ministers check.

Mr O'Neill said that in 1987, Mr Ahern had income from his position as minister for labour, as well as a TD's salary, an allowance as lord mayor of Dublin and council expenses.

His wages were paid by cheques, and members of his staff at both offices went to the bank and changed the cheques for him.

Mr O'Neill asked Mr Ahern if it was not an "unusual approach to one's finances".

"I didn't consider it unusual, quite frankly, then or now," Mr Ahern said. "Ordinary people, Mr O'Neill, go into pubs and cash their wages cheques . . . it's not extraordinary."

"But . . . you were the minister for finance at the time," Mr O'Neill said.

Mr Ahern said there was nothing in the law or the Constitution that prevented him from operating his finances in that way.

Must think people are fools walking around with a big bag of cash. The bank would start to ask questions I know technically there is no amount you cant cash. But some would put fees on large amounts.
