Pauper's Car Van Stealth Camper

I'm just wondering what estate or car van might make a good part-time camper.

I would be very light with the build out - basic flooring, insulation, 12v solar rig/inverter, portapotty, removable bedframe and storage. Wouldn't really be bothered about cooking, fridge, etc. Just a car van long enough to fit a bed big enough for me, that can revert to empty van as required. I know it won't be certified as a camper with all the perks that comes with, and that's ok. I'm 5 foot 8 which may help. I won't be clocking up many miles, but anything beyond an oil change is beyond me.

Any advice welcome.

The mains site for this company is down I don't know why but this is simple system, use it for idea. Also google search or look at sales sites at the type of van you would want and stick camper on to the search like berlingo camper....

Thanks for that - I discovered those conversions about 10 years ago and then completely forgot about them!

I'd say that site is no longer trading, but there are plenty of other options. I like the idea of the module being made for the exact make and model
