Hi all,
Does the spare wheel need to be in the car, will it fail if it’s not there?

No. If there, it will be checked. If not there then it is not tested.

Are you sure about that advice? I thought if the car model is supplied as new with a spare wheel, it's needs one for NCT.
Some 7 seat people carriers are sold without a spare wheel and supplied with an emergency seal & inflation kit. So spare wheel not specified for these.
