To determine that you’d need to be in contact with a lot of people 😉

food has calories, that’s a reality and if a person is prevented from being very physically active, be it due to mobility, be it a neurological issue or otherwise, say even bad arthritis, or age related issue it’s going to be challenging.

Abortion should be legal until the child earns its first weeks wages.

All railway lines should be torn up and turned into roads. Then used as bus lanes or super corridors.

Railways are a massive drain on money in this country.

This is actually a v good idea - it would be really easy and cheaper to throw on more buses at peak times and they wouldn't need to worry about traffic

    Absolutely.

I'd also say most bullies don't realise they are bullies, as bullies were usually bullied themselves so they don't realise the harm they are causing

they MUST be born there, they must they MUST have spent a significant part of life there

This makes no sense. To take your Michael obafemi example, he is excluded from Ireland because he grew up in England. But by your rules he is also excluded from England because he was born in Ireland. So if you move to a different country as a kid, you would no longer be allowed to play international soccer. Great idea.

It's a silly idea. Trains carry far more people than buses ever could.

Typical trains can carry hundreds of people, a full double decker bus is only about 90.

Keeping drugs illegal and making it a criminal offence to possess them is the biggest waste of money in the western world . Billions spent on trying to police and convict gang members that the laws help create

Tax drugs and spend the money on education and treatment for people that will inevitably become addicted . Drugs are not a problem that can ever be solved so try to benefit from them and at least make them safer and out of the hands of scum

Most men are attracted to younger women 18+ but have to pretend not to notice them and their bodies for fear that their natural instinct sees them labelled as a weird pervert

Agreed. Even the fact that we qualified for the tournament in the first place, after having finished third in our group, took away any sense of real achievement.

(that said, the Martin O'Neill era seems golden compared to how weak we are now)

The irish rugby fraternity are worse than the english soccer fraternity in all the areas in which we find fault with english soccer fans/media, yet seem to be completely unable to recognise the slightest morsel of this. No.1 in the world - we are as well to get baddiel and skinner on the case. Surely to christ everyone can see that teams will just target sexton going forward and that this will result in another high profile loss at the vital moment?

Our world cup pundits are painfully over critical of england and dont judge other teams in the same way. They actually have a very good chance at winning the thing out.

Most journalists act in a very cynical and dishonest manner. They are constantly spoofing articles that bash people/things that they themselves built up only a few weeks/months previously. They are the ones putting people on that pedestal that they then rush to knock them off. Any sportsperson talking to them freely is a fool.

Jack and the Beanstalk is actually a memory fig mentation implanted in your brain when Aliens abducted you as a child for routine testing. To disable you from remembering that experience your abductors subtly implanted a memory of instead being read a bedside story concerning a child who swapped a sacred Indian animal for a handful of beans which he subsequently grew into a large weed which he then climbs up to a large kitchen inhabited by a Giant who sings a native song of your arch enemy and then chases you back home until your Dad saves the entire escapade by chopping the large atmospheric breaking beanstalk to the ground and with it the evil Giant to his impending doom...... In conclusion the boys family lives happily ever after.

Both my parents deny ever reading that shight and I have never read it to anyone either? It is extraterrestrial hoodoo nonsensical subliminal brainwash used to engineer a fake past that never actually happened. Clever wee chunts aren't they?

I think it was Brady I heard say that England were abysmal at half time in the England vs Wales game.

England had obliterated Wales off the pitch and controlled the game up to that point, they just hadn't scored.

I've never heard him being nearly as critical of Ireland

I think that expiry dates on food are largely guesswork, erring on the conservative side to avoid lawsuits, bad press etc. You can stretch food life if you're smart about it - at your own risk (and reward). Some people are more robust than others e.g. pregnant ladies should understandably take no risks. Children, on the other hand, can be tougher than we suspect: they go through stages of putting anything and everything in to their mouths, yet survive just fine, building up their immune systems as they grow.

It varies, but one of my particular gripes has to do with cheese: if people knew more about what it is and how it's made, they would question why it always has to be kept in a fridge yet still expires so soon. I can keep a block of e.g. cheddar in a sealed container in a cool place, not a fridge, and it lasts for weeks. If something starts growing on one side: cut it off, the rest of the cheese is still usable.

Cheese is the result of a process that turns excess milk in to a longer-lasting source of food: it's a food preservation process. Ditto for yoghurt. Cured or processed meats such as chorizo, pies, ham or pastrami, pâté were developed to get food value from meat that might otherwise get thrown away. If you think back through history, and the lengths people had to go to to stay fed, we really do have it good these days.

    PS some further reading here.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

“ I think they’ll be lucky to get out of their group “

their group was fairly weak yet he said this

Celebrity sex allegations are Alex Jones for women.

Putin is a dictator. Putin should face justice at the Hague. All good Russians should work to depose Putin. Russias war in Ukraine is illegal and morally wrong.

At it again this evening. Senegal get one half chance that maguire does well to prevent and apparently england were rubbish for the entire half. Now spending the rest of the evening trying to justify their earlier assessment, despite senegal being 3-0 down.

In truth england had been turning senegal over high up the pitch throught the half and a goal or two seemed likely right from the off. England are now a serious threat for the tournament.

England took a lil while to click. They were not “rubbish.” I think the point being made is Irish commentary/punditry are loath to be seen to be remotely praising and encouraging of England.
