Eir non return of equipment

    Hi all

    I have terminated my Eir mobile contact and they are asking me to return the wireless broadband router which is a 5G one,if I don't return it within 30 days there is a non return charge of €149 including vat for the unit.

    Thing is the router isn't locked to Eir and will work with any network.

    I'm wondering if I held onto it will they lock it or have it blacklisted so that it won't work ?

    To buy a new one is in the region of €400- €500.
