Information on how long it takes a new development to sell out?

I don't know where exactly is this estate, but 2 years ago we bough a 4 bed 140sq.m in Meath for 385K.

500K for 3 bed is too much, unless the area is something special, or the house is large.

I know that prices have risen since we bought it, but nevertheless, it doesn't worth to pay this much. I would keep saving for a bigger deposit and wait the prices to fall in to "normal" levels again.

Agreed. They're selling out from the plans in some developments around here.

I’ve been wondering the same myself OP. I’ve been keeping a good eye on all the new builds in and around the Dublin/Kildare area the past 12 months and have definitely been getting more emails about houses being available straight away or very shortly, and less off-plan offers.

I suspect that the houses are getting a bit harder to sell given the height the prices have reached, mortgage rates going up, and cost of living being such a pain.

I don’t think house prices will decrease, but it’s much easier to walk into a new build now if you can afford it, based on my anecdotal experience.

Meath and Kildare are two very different locations

When we were looking for a new house, Kildare was our first option. Prices compared to where we actually bought, were 5-15% more, not 30-40%
