Large cell just arrived in east Kildare, black dark, heavy blown rain with mixed hail, temp dropped from 9 to 6C. I'm out and about so don't have a rain rate, but deeply unpleasant and wintry with considerable wind chill.

Sounds dreadful... Listening to a non stop heavy deluge out here and wondering if the dwelling (atop a small rise) will be seen to be marooned when light arrives. I am very glad I need not go out in it.

Right on south coast near Kinsale. We normally get bad wind but the wind we have had over last hour is as bad as I remember for a long time. It feels like the house is going to take off.
