Looking at a car from here and just checking out anyone who has had experience with them.

I've seen the name pop up here from time to time so hopefully someone can give their two cents.

    Thanks

    Hi Hugo

Did you go ahead and buy from Michael Collins Cars Blackrock - also thinking of purchasing and trying to get some prior customer feedback???

    Thanks

You'll get a deal, but not the deal you wanted.

It wasn't for me, for my mam. She did buy it though, brought along her mechanic and they were happy with the car. Only a couple of months in and very little driving done compared to usual so not much more to say really.

No reason to not go have a look for yourself anyway and see what you think!

You have a deal with them? Maybe explain rather than talking in riddles

I know this is an older thread, but had a terrible experience with Michael Collins car sales recently. Arranged to view a car and travelled an hour to the location, then not even five minutes before he was due to show up he rang and said there was a family emergency and he would ring me tomorrow. The call never came and the car ad was removed. Very poor etiquette as I had previously explained where I was coming from on the phone. My brother is a mechanic who drives the same car and I explained I was bringing him also, so perhaps it was a dodgy car and he knew he couldn't fool us.

Bought a car off him recently and couldn't honestly recommend him. He meets you at a carpark and you couldn't believe a word out of his mouth. Number of faults with car that he would have known about and did not mention. Not a genuine seller in my opinion... buyer beware

Bought an S40 from him a few years ago. For a "dealer" I did find it strange that he wanted to meet at the Clayton in Leopardstown.
