Turbo reconditioning

You do realise that depending on the engine code it can be 12 hours plus if you are lucky to do a 1.6tdi turbo, also you will not get a quality reman for 250 euro, the chra alone costs more than that.

Have you any links to these turbos? the going rate would be 400 ish for an aftermarket rebuild, 800-1200 for OEM (Garret, IHI, KKK depending on model)

Whether its good value does depend on the model as some are more painful than others, but I did a 162 passat 1.6 turbo last week and I would say 1400 is fair for that. They are a serious pig to change.

Look up portlaoise turbo services. I've used them alot over the years, never had any issues.
