You can’t just ban someone putting a sticker on their own personal property because you find it a ‘little offensive’ That’s not how a free country works.

If it’s that offensive some one will put a brick through the window.

There is a law against offensive/threatening language in this country despite what some posters might think.But try getting the gardai to prosecute is another thing entirely.

Whatever it was, I think the OP is looking for validation for being offended, and these days everyone needs to be offended.

Some people can get offended for finding something that doesn't offended someone.

I was hoping this was a sarcastic topic but I was sorely disappointed. My cars have sported a lot of "offensive" stickers throughout the years.

It seems to me that putting a sticker of 'I feel the need for speed' or maybe 'I'm a tiny bit peeved with cyclists' would cause the most outrage on Boards Motoring Forum these days. The human race is rapidly eating itself up from inside.

That's a fairly high legal bar to reach in terms of proof. Who knows what is likely to provoke a breach of the peace?... there are people that can kick off for any reason at any time. Where does the Charlie Hebdo cartoon fall in this context .... free speech for the majority, or deliberate provocation of a religious minority?

The law looks like an attempt to be seen to do something while awaiting the first legal challenge that will inevitably arise whenever it is applied.
