Don't think Boost is included in that.

There's no boost with that but if you look back a few posts there's codes for €3 a month for 6 months, I think they expire 1st November.

For the NowTV sticks stock is getting lower, they still have them in DID, Harvey Norman, Currys and Power City but not all branches.

Can you cancel nowtv before your payment date and it’s still valid until renewal date (like Netflix)?

    Yes, you can.

I got this (sports bundle+stick) & cancelled the sub today to avoid auto-renew at standard cost.. & as per earlier poster was offered €13.26 PM for 3 Months for sky sports

That Groupon deal is for Sky Sports & Boost only...not Sports Extra - so its poor value.

Went to cancel Sports Extra today as I'm parking it up for World Cup pause, was offered €9.99 a month for 6 months. Have stocked up on €15 a month Sports sticks so will load a voucher when football is back up on 26th December.

Possibly mentioned before and not really an issue if you've unlimited data, but does nowtv still suck up way more bandwidth than other streamers?

Hard to give an answer as it depends.

But NOW streams at a maximum of 1080p resolution, whilst many other services do a maximum of 4k (2160p), so on this basis alone, NOW would use less data. It it all depends on your settings on the device and app that you are using to stream.

    As a rough guide:

    • Standard definition uses up to 0.3 GB per hour.
    • High definition (720p) uses up to 1 GB per hour.
    • Full HD (1080p) uses up to 3 GB per hour.
    • UHD (4K) uses up to 7 GB per hour.

Last year I had limited data internet and I found Now TV would eat up my allowance with just a few games alright. Netflix would use way less in my experience. Maybe it was HD by default but I wouldn't have thought it was judging by the picture quality.

That was on their website the other day not groupon

    Thanks for that information

Is anyone else having trouble viewing Sky Sports or Sports Extra on Now TV…..when I click on a soccer game I want to view for example…..rather than going straight to game I am brought to a ‘Enhance your Now Membership’ page….and it doesn’t seem to want to go away without you buying another membership like Cinema for eg!

Sent email to their customer service looking for a Sky Sports voucher code. Was given a code for €15 upfront giving me Sky sports (not sports extra) for 2 months. Not sure it's a once off code but it's NOWSPMQ4UP22.

    Thanks for this.

Does anyone know how this works, I want to activate a stick and start a sub on Monday 7th and I dont currently have a subscription active. Can I buy this offer now and have it stacked ready to go to start on Monday or does it have to be activated immediately by its expiry date tomorrow?

With the voucher codes you enter they all start right away, can't be stacked. Anything on the sticks can be stacked as redemable vouchers at a later on an already active account.

Thanks AD. I'll go over to the site and see if it lets me buy the 6 months of Boost without having an active sub. If not I'll just pay a fiver a month, its no biggie between 3 of us anyway

Does anyone know with the sticks you buy in DID, Harvey Norman, etc do they have an expiry date that they need to be activated by? Given there is stock of them now Im half thinking it might be an idea to start buying some more to cover me for the 2023-24 Premier League season. Ive been feasting on the 15 a month Sky BT and Premier Sports and loving it so much I dont want the party to end lol. I even ordered a projector a few days back so Im going big screen for the World Cup and the rest of the PL season

Its says on the back of the packaging 1 year from date of purchase but no idea how this could be managed as there's no authentication when you purchase. I bought enough to keep me going until the end of 2023. I'd say if you loaded them on to an account before end of 2023 they would honour them. I'm going to load all mine on before premier League kicks off in August next year to be sure and hope that works.

haha I love that kind of forward planning and sure why not when 15 quid a month is unlikely to be beaten and may not last forever either. Think I will get another 5 sticks to cover me from August to December 2023 and then just activate them like yourself in August when the season starts

Yes stocks getting low, Power City had about 30 per store in September, they now have 26 in total across all branches, Currys have none left.

Is there no fear at all that BT and Premier Sports will disappear off NowTV at a later date? Premier Sports was bought by ViaPlay, a Swedish company and is now on the ViaPlay app in the UK only. BT also entered into an agreement with WarnerBros Discovery and I'd guess that too will be spun off into a larger Discovery App, with other channels.

The sticks are great but it is risky to buy that far ahead, they would have no reason to refund or anything.

Its a good point yeah I hadnt thought of that. Hard to know what to do really as it is a risk stocking up with no guarantee BT and Premier will be available next season. If not it will be a mess trying to watch all the football and needing subs from other sources.
