E275 for plan. Forgot to ask if it included vat

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,230 ✭✭✭MIKEKC

Hard to justify the 500 . Did they explain what they would have to do for that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,670 ✭✭✭50HX

Thought 500 was a bit much, come out and score the fields and upload photos. He said to ring him week before and aim for first second week of June

Can’t plant a hedge close to a stone wall. That’s a stupid condition, In my situation anyhow.

Planner gave me a printout of the charges. Basically the more you get the more u are charged. Seems the max charge is 800 euros for the max payout of the scheme.

What options are people going for when joining the scheme? Advisor only talking about extensi grazing here, surely more than 1 option can be chosen?

Is the Teagasc route a pure waste of time this year?

    Must ring the fu56ed again.

A local planner here is €570 for year 1 and €350 per year for a farm visit and doing the paperwork for the following years.

are we all going to be down a nice bit in bps for those that don’t get into acres?

Thats the problem but if doesnt suit what can you do. It will be a challenge to make it up from a drystock enterprise.

You get the feeling that the CAP and subsidies are being weaned off farmers. Our payments have diluted an awful lot in last number of years. Now they have put the environmental payments out of the reach of a huge cohort of farmers.

The majority full time livestock farmers are either retired or their son/daughter have a job outside the farm.

Anyone know the closing date for applying for this scheme?

Ah feck, not a hope of meeting that deadline. I haven't even got a planner on board yet.

JC what's the hurry with the dept, they should have that scheme open for at least 12 months considering everyone is coming out of GLAS at the same time.

Unlikely that a GLAS extension for another year will be given either.

Lets see how those of us out of the Schemes get on with the farming

Have to admit that the increase in terms for planting native woodland peaked my interest as i l was walking through the coarse meadow.

It's not accidental that so many will not get in to Acres, it's leverage and probably towards getting people to think like I do in paragraph 1.

It looks like it will be tough for anyone not tier1 to get in to Acres this round.

It's a big hit to the farm income.

Still waiting on my teagasc advisor to return my calls - I'll have to call in next week and doorstep her if I don't hear anything.

I'm in glas and the hen harrier so it's a big loss to me if I don't get in. I presume you're just committing to doing x, y & z next year with your planner now and they confirm then next year when the actions are done and you get paid?

My planner submitted a plan but said the hen harrier crowd would be deciding what actions are to be taken.

It might help if you look to see what actions you wanted to do on various plots. Use the specifications to go through what’s possible or not, there’s a good few rules around what actions you can do together in the one plot.

This way if you do doorstop, you know exactly what you can do, you can give the details and the plan is very quick and easy to draw up…

Got quoted 500 euro for year 1 and unsure of price for following years. Seems like they are making up numbers.

    1) in cooperative is it possible to use land included in scheme for a site down the line or is it locked up for 5 years. Planner said it would be year by year based on what is in Bps

    2) do you think there would be any issue in building a new shed for ponies during scheme

The department is “looking at” the Acres deadline, so it’s going to be extended, until the end of this month i suppose.

Can you check on agfood if an application has been made for you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,385 ✭✭✭kollegeknight

Yes it shows up but no content. Think it’s at the top under expression of interest.

Does an existing area of scrub (as certified on the SFP application) qualify under the ACRES scheme if we added a few more hectares of low lying land beside a lake?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,264 ✭✭✭amacca

cheers, yeah odd, it shows up dated before I went for a meeting deciding final actions!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,161 ✭✭✭Dinzee Conlee

    Qualify as what exactly?

(asking as I have a good few acres of it myself)

I'm not sure to be honest. OH was talking to a friend earlier today who has part of his farm mearing a lake and he said that his advisor said he would qualify for a payment?
