I got my Electric Ireland bill last week and when I went to pay online today it seems I already got the €200 credit and the bill paid and I am in credit. I thought this was going to start being processed tomorrow. Did anyone else check their account and see the credit already there?

They have a message on their website saying that they have huge volumes of calls.

My guess is that 80% of calls are for queries that can be answered on their website

Took me 19 mins on hold this AM to get to talk to sales team about a renewal.

(and no to the other poster - couldn’t be sorted online)

Sadly their website gives different info on the same thing in different places AND if you do get through to a person, they have different info again.

I am downloading the smart meter data regularly to try & get an idea what (1st) bill will be.

Cannot get anyone today : the power was off in my area yesterday from 9.40 to 17.45 approx. Today's download has USAGE for those times while I was using a flask, Battery radio and candle towards evening

I am hopping mad, but also wondering what the excuse will be.

The Regulator for Utilities says I must lodge a complaint with provider before contacting them

But I can't contact the Feckers, nor find a complaint form on their awful site

But the delays are caused by a huge volume of callers with minor queries that the answers can be found online - that causes a delay to those with queries that cannot be answered online like yourself

To add to my earlier post. I found an email address, and send my complaint.. There is no chat available.. Got an immediate automated response, saying it now takes 8 days to respond to emails. This is MAD, they made tens of millions from us suckers and won't spend it to SERVE 😕(ha feckin' ha) us.

And cannot get on to Reg. Utilities without a complaint.

Might be worth going to my local (very active) TD.
