Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Skopje, North Macedonia.

Chinese buses made to look like a retro version of Londons Routemaster. They had a load of the original Routemasters but most were destroyed in the 1960 earthquake.

These were built and delivered from 2010-2015

    @KevRossi

Great spot on the Alpine, very rare cars. I've seen two in Ireland, one in Dun Laoghaire, another near Glencullen.

    Alpine ??

  • Registered Users Posts: 838 ✭✭✭mazdamiatamx5

Yep. I saw both cars cycling around circa 1992/93. One parked outside a house on the R118 (DL to Glenageary), the other in the driveway of a gaff near Kilmacanogue.

Only badge was amg and I'm not clued in on mercs

E220d according to cartell. What’s with the AMG badge on a diesel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,309 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

Probably AMG line or something, similar to other manufactures these days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,484 ✭✭✭✭MEGA BRO WOLF 5000

    What a horrible looking numberplate.

Every second Merc is badged as an "AMG" these days.

    Yawn.

edit: Scratch that the new Integra is 4 door and no Honda badge.

    It's a civic

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,289 ✭✭✭✭bazz26

It's a 10th gen Honda Civic coupe. They still produce a 2 door Civic for the American market.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,485 ✭✭✭KevRossi

Not a car but I saw this by chance today and thought I'd stick it up. Probably the largest privately owned yacht on the planet.

    140m, 17,500 hp, V/max 40 km/h. 96 crew, 82 bedrooms and all the trappings. Insured for £240m. Supposedly.

Seen on the ferry on the way into Tangier this morning.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,620 ✭✭✭ILikeBoats

    15th longest!

Great spot. Anything over the 100m mark is jaw dropping

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,309 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

What would you know. I'd say you hate boats. 🤣

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,485 ✭✭✭KevRossi

Less than 15 minutes sitting on the promenade in Tangier and this is what passes by. Huge amount of SUVs here, many of them optically modified.

Lots of Macan's around as well as a Cayman. And a 911.

Range Rover are huge sellers here, as are Audi, especially any of their Q models.

Also saw an Urus but no pic.

Not sure what the 3-wheeler is. Caught me on the hop.

And the 240D is a nostalgia shot. First came here in the early 90's and they were everywhere.

Seems its the 3rd longest in private ownership, but the oligarchs are dumping theirs big time.

Most of the bigger ones are owned either by a government outright or effectively.

3 wheeler is a Polaris Slingshot I think.

    Ms

Seen a Citroen C5-X in green today on the motorway as well as a Cupra and a Mercedes G Wagon.

Even if I never see another C5-X again it is good to be able to say I seen one and it looked very nice.

I know I will see more of the other two again as have seen a few about.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Oh, I've seen a Citroen C5-X on Friday in the wild well almost!! It was coming out of Linders Citroen Finglas, so it was probably a garage car!

P.S. They had another one in the showroom...

I saw one in Cork . Didn't know what it was at first but was very distintive . Hope it does well

Parked outside King's Cross Station in London for months. Have a guess.

The hot pink wrapped McLaren was also there. Seems its owned by someone who got caught in London during the first COVID outbreak and he moved into the hotel.

A very rare beast on these shores. SL 600. And it's a genuine one.

I only ever owned one V12, a Jag XJ S3. I should try to up it to a 2nd one but I reckon that day has gone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,410 ✭✭✭secman

Tried to see could I spot the owner in the bank, but nobody obvious, was in a rush so couldn't wait for him/her to come out. Starting price is €147,000

Rare beast anywhere, of the 205 thousand R129s built only 11 thousand were 600SLs. I saw one only once before in Ballsbridge in 1999, could possibly be same one.

Only thing is Sl500 was supposed to be better car

    GT-R

    RS6 Avant

RR Cullinan -quite a few of these around, more than the Bentayaga, lots of Rollers and Brabus G-Wagens

Not sure, didn't know that. I remember a few contemporaneous reviews in the UK car press complaining about the weight of the R129, so maybe the V12 is worth having. Whatever happens you'd be assured rarity value with the 600SL. But I've always loved the styling of these cars...particularly the pre-facelift model.
